"Buenas Intenciones" is a 30-second animated short that narrates the story of an astronaut with good intentions, who attempts to deliver a message of peace to warring extraterrestrials. The short was traditionally animated, with each frame hand-drawn and digitally post-produced. It was created in 2017 by a team of five advanced students from the Visual Arts degree program at Universidad Católica del Uruguay, for the 7-day Challenge organized by the Instituto Nacional de Cine y Audiovisual Uruguayo (National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts).

Personal review:

This is one of my all-time favorite projects—not only for the incredible outcome after seven days of non-stop hard workbut also because, as a student, the experience of participating in such a challenging marathon with my classmates was invaluable. It felt like an intensive, hands-on course in animation. Through this opportunity, I was able to consolidate much of my technical knowledge in animation and discover a natural inclination for leadership and project management in the realm of visual storytelling.
